God knew that sin would enter the world, as you say. But he made the world so that his purpose would come to pass. This necessitated people, of their own freewill, renouncing serving sin and choosing to serve God. God wanted a family of people filled with his fullness – people who serve him out of love, not out of compulsion. These people will inherit the world, and the world will one day be full of the knowledge of the glory of God as the waters cover the seas. Jesus Christ is the lynchpin for this whole plan. In fact, Jesus is the reason for this plan. We read in Colossians 1:16 LITV
For all things were created in Him [Jesus], the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible; whether thrones, or lordships, or rulers, or authorities, all things have been created through Him and for Him.
God’s plan in a nutshell:
- Jesus died to save those who love God
- Gospel preached to Jews and Gentiles so people could choose to love God
- Jesus to return to earth to give immortality to his faithful followers and establish God’s Kingdom on Earth
- Jesus, with the help of the saints, to subdue the earth and teach the inhabitants of God’s ways
- Sin and death to be finally overcome, when Jesus hands the Kingdom back to God

Romans 6:8-12:
Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. (9) We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. (10) For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. (11) So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. (12) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions.
Ephesians 3:9-19:
to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things, (10) so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. (11) This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, (12) in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him. 1 Corinthians 15:22-28:
