Who is the gospel for?

The gospel is for people from all nations who believe in the name of Jesus and do what is true.

Luke 24:46-47:

 “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, (47)  and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

John 1:12-13:

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,  (13)  who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

Revelation 14:6:

Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people.

John 3:18-21 :

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. …  But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

What is the message of the gospel?

The message of the gospel, is the good news about the kingdom of God that will be established on Earth under the kingship of Jesus Christ.  It is about the salvation offered to those who believe in the saving name of Jesus and who take up their cross daily following in the path of their Lord and Saviour.

Romans 1:16-17:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.  (17)  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

Acts 8:12:

But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Luke 9:23:

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
