Most men in Bible times had beards including many people mentioned in the Bible. For example, Aaron (Psalm 133:2), David (1 Samuel 21:13), David’s servants (2 Samuel 10:4-5), Mephibosheth (2 Samuel 19:24), Amasa (2 Samuel 20:9), Ezra (Ezra 9:3), Ezekiel (Ezekiel 5:1), etc.

There is a prophecy of Jesus that refers to his beard (Isaiah 50:6), so we know he wore a beard also.

Under the law of Moses, there were rules (Leviticus 19:27) about not trimming the corners of your beard (i.e., goatees were banned). This was probably because pagan priests wore their beards in that style, and God did not want his people to even look like pagan worshippers.
