An English translation of Quran 6:68 is
“And when thou seest those who meddle with Our revelations, withdraw from them until they meddle with another topic. And if the devil cause thee to forget, sit not, after the remembrance, with the congregation of wrong-doers”
I’m not sure I follow all the logic of this passage. But there at least two parts to consider.
The first, about those that meddle with “our revelations” — I presume this is the Quran itself. If so, there’s a similar Bible passage:
I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. (Rev 22:19-20)
I’m not sure what the second part means. If the devil cause you to forget what? But the Bible has lots to say about keeping away from the congregation of evil-doers at any time:
But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one. (1 Cor 5:11)
and
“Come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues; for her sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. (Rev 18:5-6)
Revelation 22:19 – 20 seems to only talk about Revelation, not the whole Bible. There are similar words in Deuteronomy 4:2 and Deuteronomy 12:32, but again I would take them as only referring to Deuteronomy. Proverbs 30:5 – 6 says that every word of God is true, and you shouldn’t add to it, lest you be found a liar. This I would take to apply to the whole Bible. If you believe the Bible is the word of God then you shouldn’t be changing it.
Paul in Galatians 1:6 – 9 talks about people who are distorting the gospel of Christ, and says that anyone who does that should be accursed. This would apply to changing the actual written text as well as teaching the wrong thing from the written text. We should probably keep separate from those who are accursed, as shown in the verses quoted above.
