Names of God that Jesus bears

As the angel in the burning bush was called “God” and “the LORD” (Ex 3:4-6 cf Acts 7: 30 &35), and as the angel in the wilderness with the children of Israel, bore the name of God (Ex 23:21), so Jesus also bears the names of God:

  • Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace – Isaiah 9:6
  • My Lord and my God  – John 20:28
  • Alpha and Omega – Revelation 1:8; Revelation 21:6; Revelation 22:13
