What is the approximate distance between the desert where Christ was tempted and the city of Jerusalem?

Jesus was tempted in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1) which is on the western side of the Dead Sea. It is about 30-50km from Jerusalem depending on which part of the wilderness he was in.
