If Jesus existed before birth, then what happened to his memories?
This is just one the serious questions about preexistence that those who teach that Jesus existed before his conception often try to avoid. His preexistence is dogmatically asserted as a fact that must be believed. But the most rudimentary and obvious questions about this asserted preexistence go unanswered. This is one of them.
The following quotation is from the Jehovah’s Witnesses publication ‘Jesus—The Way, the Truth, the Life’, chapter 12: Jesus Gets Baptised.

“But more than that happens at Jesus’ baptism. ‘The heavens are opened up’ to him. What does this mean? Likely it means that at the time of Jesus’ baptism, the memory of his prehuman life in heaven returns to him. Thus, Jesus now recalls his life as a spirit son of Jehovah, including truths that God taught him in heaven before he came to earth. In addition, at Jesus’ baptism a voice from heaven proclaims: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.” (Matthew 3:17) Whose voice is that? It cannot be Jesus’ own voice; he is right there with John. That voice is God’s. Clearly, Jesus is God’s Son. He is not God himself.”
Jehovah’s Witnesses are Arians so some of the above answer would not be said by Trinitarians and Oneness. If we can find quotations from Trinitarians that actually address this question then we well add them.
In any case the assertion is completely without evidence.
